What is a Pawn Loan?

A pawn loan is a fast and easy way to get a loan on an item you already own. With no credit check! Loans are based on the value of the item you bring in. Depending on state law, a pawn loan generally has a term of 30 days.

What if I can’t pay back the loan in time?

Lending Bear offers extensions based on state law. Alternatively, you may transfer the collateral to us as payment in full.

What is a pawn loan extension?

If you are eligible for an extension on your loan, you must pay a portion of the outstanding interest owed before the extension is granted.

What happens to my items if I don’t return to the store?

If you don’t return to the store within the prescribed time line and no extension has been granted, ownership of the item reverts to Lending Bear.

What kind of items can be used for a pawn loan?

Lending Bear offers pawn loans on a wide range of items including jewelry, tools, guns, electronics, musical instruments, lawn equipment, or almost anything else of value that you’d like to borrow against. Please be sure to bring a valid picture ID with you to complete the transaction.

Do you accept guns for pawn loans?

Lending Bear accepts guns and we are registered as a firearms dealer in compliance with all federal regulations. For further security regarding firearm storage, Lending Bear adds cable locks to every firearm and we provide law enforcement with information concerning every transaction ensuring that only legitimate firearm transactions are processed.

How long does Lending Bear keep my item safe and secure?

Lending Bear keeps pawned items in a secure location at our stores. Lending Bear stores are fully insured for the loan value of the collateral we keep in our premises

What is my item worth?

Each item is evaluated based on a number of factors including the condition of the asset and the approximate market value among other factors. Typically, items that are in better condition and working order will fetch a higher loan. The value of items such as jewelry and gold are based on visual inspection, weight, size, karats, and other factors.

Do I have to bring my item into the store for evaluation?

All items must be physically inspected in order to determine the value for the pawn loan.
